It’s been nearly a year since we started living in our new home and I feel like I finally know what I want to do with the kids bedroom.

I initially wanted to go with wallpaper, but couldn’t settle on anything until I found this perfect gender neutral peel and stick wallpaper from Home Depot. I love that it will be easier to apply then traditional wallpaper and can be removed if we decide to go a different route in the future.

We’ve already installed the ceiling fan, painted the floors white (an update on that soon!) and installed wood knobs on all the built ins. I also want to add a striped roman shade to play around with mixing prints + I love the blackout option for naps and bedtime!

The Interior Define accent chair is my dream chair, but waaay out of the budget. So we will see what I can find at the thrift store or Facebook Marketplace over the next few months. I’m dreaming of a deep velvet color and ultimate comfy vibes.

We will install this wall sconce above the accent chair using the trusty light puck hack - I think it’ll be perfect for reading books before bedtime and we wont have to worry about dealing with electrical stuff.
